Robert A. Kraft

2/15/25

In February, Bastrop’s own Robert A. Kraft captivated a packed crowd with an electrifying performance. He delivered an eclectic mix of covers spanning various genres and eras, along with heartfelt original songs. Between sets, Kraft entertained the audience with stories from his colorful past, all of which have shaped his passion for creating authentic music and connecting with community.

Beyond his talent as a performer, Kraft has played a pivotal role in the Bastrop live music scene, championing independent artists by ensuring they have venues and gigs to showcase their talents. Among his many contributions, he founded the Bastrop Live Music Foundation, which is dedicated to ensuring musicians are paid fairly and fostering community connections through live music.

If you missed this unforgettable performance, don’t worry! You can catch Kermit regularly performing in the area, including his standing gig every fourth Wednesday at Storehouse Market & Eatery, right across the street. Be sure to check him out there or at another local venue!

Known for their chill, groovy vibe and talent for improvisation, the band captivated the audience with their seamless riffing and even collaborated with one of the youngest attendees to create an inspiring song about hope for the future.
